Will or Won't

Someone asked me "What if I Just Don't Want To"? They asked me just like that. Flat out. No context. I thought they were being sarcastic, but no. They were actually processing in real time. Well, let's think about it. Let's talk about it.
The fact of the matter is you have the free will to decide whether you're going to do a thing or not. To make the decision, you have to know what you want in the first place. What's the goal? What outcome are you looking to achieve in the long-run? If you decide not to do the "thing" you're considering, what type of impact will it have on that goal or outcome? That's what's going to determine the outcome. If your desire to "not want to" will negatively impact your goal(s), then it's not worth it in the slightest.
Before making the decision, take some practical steps.
- Take a break. Breathe & get in a quiet place. (get off your phone)
- Start small. (make your bed, throw cold water on your face, open a journal)
- Prioritize your safety & goals (reflet on what the ultimate outcome will be)
It's not always about what you want, rather what you need. It's time to decide.
