Completely Trust
Trusting God completely is an active choice. I know, that sounds like an obvious statement; believe it or not, it isn’t perceived as a straightforward response all the time. The characters we read about in the bible were real. They were human, just like you and I, with brains, emotions, relationships, jobs, etc. When hardships rose (I’m thinking of Job right now, you too? yeah), they felt angry, conflicted, confused and many other combinations of feelings any average human would experience. However, many actively chose to follow Christ. Many actively chose to not give into their emotions and instead speak to the father because they knew he was the only one who could truly deliver them. I am challenging myself daily to fully rely on God, to lay my joys as well as my sorrows at his feet. Why? Because he is the only person we can completely trust. I know that his joy can fill me with peace. His word never fails. His promises are true. Even when it seems like he is far, he’s present. We have to choose him daily. Today, I will choose God by simply talking to him.
How will you choose God today?
